The normal teaching load of a faculty member is twelve semester hours or the equivalent. Alterations in the standard twelve-hour load may be made under certain conditions with approval. The primary duty of faculty members is teaching. The performance of research, scholarly, or professional activities, service and development duties is an expected and indispensable part of the workload of all faculty members.
