Section III
Faculty English Language Proficiency

As of Fall 1990, pursuant to a bill passed by the Texas Legislature, all faculty members are required to identify their primary language via a primary language form. Those faculty members who do not have English as their primary language must take a test to show their oral language competence in English. Faculty members who do not score at a high enough level must take the appropriate remedial work and repeat the test. A&M-Commerce Procedure A12.04.
