Three major
events will highlight the Foundation schedule this fall.
One is a major
fund-raising event that will be called the Loyalty Fund. Every alumnus
will be contacted and asked personally to contribute to the University.
Many more details about this project will be announced soon.
The second event
will be a continuing education seminar for attorneys, CPAs, and
Certified Financial Planners. The seminar will be led by Mr. Mike
Bourland, noted estate planning consultant of Fort Worth. The seminar,
open to all attorneys, CPAs, and CFPs, will be held Friday, Oct.
20, 2000, in the LaSalle Room of the student center. For additional
information and cost of the seminar, contact Pat Taylor at (888)
568-3396 or (903) 886-5513.
The third big
event will be a donor recognition banquet on Nov. 2 as part of Homecoming
2000. It will honor everyone who has invested in the University
this year. Dr. Howard Graves, chancellor of the Texas A&M University
System, will be the featured speaker. In addition, newly inducted
members of the Founder’s Circle will be honored at a reception prior
to the dinner.
This event will
also mark two other major events: the 30th anniversary of the Foundation
and the conclusion of the three-year capital campaign. Final totals
will be revealed at the dinner, and many campaign workers will be
recognized.
As you can tell,
these events are just highlights of a great year for your foundation
and University, and we appreciate you for your participation in
these activities.
