Held
April 7-9, the weekend featured a golf scramble among other gatherings
and programs for the enjoyment of those in attendance. After the
Saturday evening dinner, event chairperson Bobbie Purdy of Commerce,
Kappa Delta and 1967 University graduate, and Joe Ondrusek of Rockwall,
a Delta Tau Delta and 1966 graduate, presented a short program for
the gathered alumni.
The
program honored the Golden Anniversary of classes of 1949-50, and
the Silver Anniversary of the class of 1974-75.
The
alumni were also greeted by Dr. Keith McFarland, University president,
and Gary Finney of Garland, Alumni Association Board of Directors

program, the musical group, Nightfall, performed for the participants
who proceeded to dance into the evening.
"The
conference turned out really well and everyone seemed to have a
great time," said Kayla Price, director of Alumni Records and
Services.
"We
even have a picture of the McFarlands dancing the Y.M.C.A., which
is something you just don’t see everyday," Price continued.
Those
attending the reunion included alumni from 14 states with one couple
traveling from Australia, according to Price.

HOME—Receiving special recognition for coming the farthest to
attend the First Last Dinner Dance, held in Dallas in April, were
Buddy and Gay Kinamon, who traveled from Australia to attend the
event.
