Advocates at Texas A & M University-Commerce is the social work student service organization also known as the "A-TEAM." The purpose of Advocates at Texas A & M University-Commerce is:
To pursue positive acquaintance with many whom we meet.
To cherish friendships.
To welcome the opportunity of contributing to the community where we are placed because of the joy of service thereby bestowed and the talent of leadership multiplied.
To possess high ideals and to attain to them.
To gain understanding that knowledge may be vouchsafed to us.
To abide by the National Association of Social Workers' Code of Ethics (1996) and the Social Work Program Code of Ethics,
And to promote education.
