How to Pay Your Tuition & Fees

Limitation on In-State Tuition Rates for Some Undergraduates New undergraduate students enrolling in an institution of higher education in Fall 1999 or afterward are subject to the conditions of Senate Bill 345 passed in the 76th Legislative Session. This law states that a resident undergraduate student whose attempted hours exceeds, by at least 45 semester hours, the number of hours required for completion of the degree program may be charged tuition at a higher rate. The higher rate will not exceed the rate charged to non-resident undergraduate students. A resident student is one who pays the in-state rate for tuition purposes. Tuition Rate for Certain Doctoral Students The Legislature enacted SB 961 Section 54.066 to encourage students to graduate in a more timely manner. Doctoral students who have attempted over 99 or more semester credit hours of work will be charged tuition at the non-resident rate. Fee Payment and Financial Aid Information Fee Payment - Payment of required tuition and fees is the student’s responsibility, regardless of the status of any type financial aid. No registration is complete until tuition and fees have been paid by the payment deadline. Class schedules will be removed for non-payment. Students whose schedules are removed for non-payment will be required to re-register for classes and will be assessed a $50 fee. Financial Aid - When you receive your bill from Financial Services, read it carefully. It is the student’s responsibility to finalize and accept financial aid of any type. Acceptance of all financial aid must be completed by the payment deadline to avoid schedule cancellation. Class schedules will be removed for students not paying by the payment deadline. |
