Editor's Notes to Supplemental Edition

Because of irregularities in the 2001 process, many more works were selected than could appear in print. The Mayo Review's Editorial Board had voted that some works would appear a Supplemental Web Version only, so that adequate numbers of copies could exist in the print format. It seems like we had approximately 90 pages before this decision was made. With costs being what they are, I suspect that would have reduced the number of print copies by more than 1/2 of what is normally printed. This was a prime concern when the fact that all copies of last year's (2000) version were given out.
