2. Subject Periodical Databases

  • Is your topic in a particular subject area?

If so, use a subject periodical database. Subject databases specialize in a particular subject, and the articles indexed are generally from scholarly sources. Examples of subject periodical databases and the kinds of articles they identify are:

ABI/Inform
Indexes articles in business-related subjects such as management, finance, and advertising
Psyc Info
Indexes articles in psychology
Agricola
Indexes agricultural literature including: journal articles,technical reports, monographs, theses, patents, software, and audiovisual materials
