Database Help:

NewsFile Collection - contains articles from more than 500 regional and national newspapers, plus several newswires. Dates of coverage include 1991 to present.
Texas NewsFile - contains articles from more than 20 Texas newspapers throughout the state, and articles about Texas from over 500 domestic newspapers and wire services. Dates of coverage include 1992 to present.
NewsFile Collection and Texas NewsFile may be accessed in the library from the computers in the library's Reference Area, or from the Library Databases web page by clicking on NewsBank/Texas NewsFile.
Keyword Search - permits phrase searching (enclose in quotation marks). Boolean and positional operators are also permitted. (see General Searching Techniques) Select search results in relevance ranked order (best matches first) or in reverse chronological order (most recent matches first). Searches may also be limited by source type, either newspapers, newswires or both. You may also limit the search to only the last three or six months.
Customized Search - mode which allows the user to specify what fields (lead/first paragraph, etc.) to search. Boolean Operators may also be used. In a Customized Search the results appear in reverse chronological order (newest to oldest).
