EBSCO is a collection of databases that all using the same interface. Read below for more information on the base package databases with open campus access.

Databases

Alt-HealthWatch
This database focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. It offers libraries an immediate resource of full text articles from more than 170 international peer-reviewed and professional journals, magazines, reports, proceedings, association & consumer newsletters, plus hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research, and book excerpts.

Academic Search Complete
Provides full text for nearly 3,260 scholarly publications covering academic areas of study including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies.

Applied Science & Technology
Abstracts Applied Science & Technology Abstracts contains abstracting of periodicals from March 1993 to the present and indexing from October 1983 to the present, covering topics such as acoustics, aeronautics, artificial intelligence, chemistry, computers, engineering, geology, plastics, textiles, and waste management.

Business Source Premier
Provides full text for over 2,300 scholarly business journals covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business, and much more.

Business Wire News
This full text newswire database incorporates business wires from all over the world. Included in this database are A&G Information, Africa News Service, Inter Press Service, Resource News International, South American Business, M2 Communications, PR Newswire, Business News Wire, Canadian Corporate News, News Bytes News Network, and Phillips Business Information Highlights. Please note that Business Wire News only includes articles from the most recent 30 days.

Clinical Reference Systems
Provides over 7,000 reports, in every-day language, describing symptoms, treatments, risks, and after-effects of a vast array of medical topics and conditions.

Computer Source
Computer Source provides researchers with the latest information and current trends in high technology.

EBSCO Animals
Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.

ERIC
ERIC , the U.S. Department of Education Educational Resource Information Center database, contains citations and abstracts from over 980 educational and education-related journals, as well as full text of more than 2,200 digests.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia
Provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries. Searchable by subject or keywords within the entry.

Health Source: Consumer Edition
With Health Source: Consumer Edition you can search for information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source: Consumer Edition features searchable full text for nearly 160 journals including Consumer Reports on Health and Men's Health, as well as abstracts and indexing for nearly 180 general health, nutrition and professional health care publications. Information provided in this database should not be viewed as a means for self-diagnosis or a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition
Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides nearly 540 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for over 570 journals.

MagillOnLiterature
MagillOnLiterature is the definitive online source for editorially reviewed critical analyses and brief plot summaries of the most studied works in the history of literature. This database, which is compiled by Salem Press, contains all of Masterplots and Masterplots II, Cyclopedia of World Authors, Cyclopedia of Literary Characters, and Magill's Literary Annual.

MAS Ultra - School Edition
Provides full text for over 450 general interest and current events magazines.

MasterFILE Premier
Provides full text for over 1,860 periodicals covering nearly all subjects including general reference, business, health, and much more.

MEDLINE
MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE allows users to search abstracts from over 4,000 current biomedical journals. Latest update file 12/13/01.

Middle Search Plus
Provides full text for nearly 120 magazines covering general topics appropriate for middle and jr. high school students.

Newspaper Source
Provides full text for 159 regional U.S. newspapers, eighteen international newspapers, six newswires, and nine newspaper columns, The Christian Science Monitor, and The Los Angeles Times (for a total of 194 full text newspapers and other sources).

Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection
The Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection is a comprehensive database with nearly 480 full text titles covering topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.

Primary Search
Provides full text for over 50 children's magazines and over 100 children's pamphlets, designed for the elementary school student.

Professional Development Collection
Provides a highly specialized collection of nearly 450 full text journals, designed for professional educators.

Religion & Philosophy Collection
The Religion & Philosophy Collection is a comprehensive database covering such topics as world religions, major denominations, biblical studies, religious history, epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy, and the history of philosophy. With over 240 full text journals and unparalleled coverage of the subject areas, the Religion & Philosophy Collection is an essential tool for researchers and students of theology and philosophical studies.

Sociological Collection
The Sociological Collection is a comprehensive database with nearly 580 full text titles. This database provides information on all areas of sociology, including social behavior, human tendencies, interaction, relationships, community development, culture, and social structure.

USP DI Volume II, Advice for the Patient
Provides patient-oriented drug information in lay language. Monographs are organized into the following sections: Brand Names commonly used in both the United States and Canada, Description, Before Using This Medicine, Proper Use of This Medicine, Precautions, and Side Effects.
