Database description

DISCovering Science provides essays, biographies, and magazine article summaries covering applied sciences and technology, life sciences, medicine, information sciences, physical sciences, earth and space sciences, environmental sciences, mathematics, and psychology. The information can be accessed through a number of search paths and can also be retrieved through thousands of hypertext links.


Accessing DISCovering Science

You may access DISCovering Science in the library from the computers in the Reference Area. You may also access the database from the Library Databases web page by clicking on the title of the database.


Using DISCovering Science

You may search by subject or name, choose from an alphabetical list of topics, search the full text of an essay on a topic, or use the custom search feature. You may also follow hyperlinks throughout the database, and access audio and video clips when available. You may learn more about the database by clicking on "About" and seek help by clicking on "Help."
