The Library is pleased to announce that there are laptop computers available for checkout for use in the Library at the Commerce campus. Students and faculty may checkout a laptop from the Circulation desk with their CWID's for a 2 hour library use only checkout. The computers will have Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office loaded.
The laptops do have wireless cards and will connect to the university's wireless network. A Library signal strength map is available here. Please note it may several minutes for the wireless network to be found. If the user wants a secure wireless connection, they will need to use the Cisco VPN software loaded on each laptop. You login to the software using your MyLeo information.
The study rooms on floors 2, 3, and 5 have internet cable connections available for use with laptops. There are also two ports available for use in the Reference area. The Curriculum Library on the 2nd floor also has an Internet connection available. Please do not unplug any computers to use the network cable.
Documents CANNOT be saved to the laptop's hard drive. You must save to a CD or flash drive which you can then take to a lab computer to print.
