ENC ACCESS CENTER

The Curriculum Library has joined approximately 150 other sites nationwide as an Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for Mathematics and Science Education (ENC) Access Center. The ENC collaborates with 10 regional consortia, including the Eisenhower Southwest Consortium for the Improvement of Mathematics and Science Teaching (SCIMAST) and its demonstration site, the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory (SEDL) in Austin.

Our mission as an ENC Access Center is to disseminate free curriculum resource materials to preservice teachers, university faculty, and area educators; to maintain a permanent collection of ENC materials; and to provide professional development opportunities to preservice teachers and area educators.

The free materials are located in the Curriculum Library on a display rack located under the Access Center sign. The permanent collection is shelved on the adjacent book stack. The titles in the permanent collection are also included in the online catalog LION.

All mathematics and science educators are encouraged to take advantage of the materials in the ENC Access Center and to visit the web sites regularly, either from your computer or from the public computers in the Curriculum Library. Each of the four public computers in the Curriculum Library has icons for ENC and SCIMAST/SEDL web sites. The computers are networked to a printer and the Uniprint system.
