Services to Library Users with Disabilities

Gee Library is committed to providing accessibility to library materials, programs, and services to all users. All staff working in public service areas of Gee Library will make every effort to accommodate reasonable requests from library users with disabilities. If your disability is invisible, please identify yourself as having a disability when you seek assistance. If your needs are not met by the policies and procedures described below, please notify the Library Director's Office at 903-886-5731.

Locating Material

Staff will make every effort to assist in obtaining information from any library equipment or resource that is inaccessible to you. The Gee Library on-line catalog (LION) has handicapped accessible tables for your convenience.

Retrieving Material

If you find that library stacks or other areas are inaccessible to you, please ask for assistance from library staff at the Circulation Department.

Photocopying Material

If you are unable to use a photocopier, staff will make copies for you. Bring the material to be copied to the Circulation Desk along with a copy card that has sufficient value to make copies. You may wait for your copying to be completed or make arrangements to pick up the copies at your convenience. All copying must be in compliance with the U.S. Copyright Law.

Book Renewals

To renew library books, you may call the Circulation Department at 903-886-5718 or e-mail:  Sue_Weatherbee@tamu-commerce.edu and request the renewal.
