| Communication from Senate President Crenshaw | Senate President Crenshaw called a special meeting of the Faculty Senate to respond to the request from Chancellor McKinney for each system school to help submit questions to be used in faculty evaluations by August 31, 2008. A committee was appointed to address the issues. John Smith was asked to chair the committee because he is the chair of the Academic Life Committee. The committee members are: Linda Openshaw, Tim Wilson, R.N. Singh, & Kathryn Jacobs. Steve Ball will review the questions to see if they can be used to collect both reliable and valid data. |
The committee will report back to the Faculty Senate once they have written the questions. R.N. Singh will call Frank Ashley for discuss the evaluation procedures and will send out a notice to all faculty. |
