Dr. Raymond Ballard

Raymond BallardA tenured, professor of economics at TAMU-Commerce.  He received his Ph.D. in economics (with outside field in finance) from Texas A&M University College Station in 1974.  He has thirty five (35) years experience teaching economics and statistics, to graduate and undergraduate students.

Dr Ballard has published various articles in The Delkab Journal of Economics and Business, The American Economist, The Journal of Economics, The Southern Economic Journal, Eastern Economic Journal, and National Social Science Journal among othersHe has 43 publications, two in 2005, and his work has also been presented at various major national and international conferences.

Dr. Ballard is a serving member on the Board of Directors National Social Science Association and, the Board of Directors Goodland Children’s Home, Hugo. He also is a reviewer for a journal The Review of Economic Theory.

Dr. Ballard has also done consulting for The Tennessee Valley Authority: Knoxville, TN.,Texas Instruments Inc. in Dallas, TX., Thor Power Tools, Plumbium Inc., Mt. Bethel Corp., and for attorneys evaluating economic loss, as well as other small organizations.

Dr. Ballard is married and has four children who are all college graduates. He has six wonderful grandchildren, and loves to fish and hunt.
