*Virtual PC is not a true substitute for a Windows PC. If you rely heavily on PC applications, they will run far better and more reliably on a real PC than they will under Virtual PC.  You need approximately twice the amount of resources on the Macintosh that will be used by the simulated PC.  A Mac with 512MB of RAM and a 1.4GHz processor can only emulate a PC with 256MB of RAM and a 700MHz processor.
