Forwarding Your UNIX E-mail to another address



1. Telnet to your UNIX E-mail account. i.e. Boisdarc or Etsuodt

2. Login using your UNIX login ID or pop-mail account name.

3. At the TERM= prompt, just press enter.

4. Create a file in your home directory called .forward. The contents of this file consist entirely of your forwarding E-mail address.

How to create a .forward file:

echo John_Doe@anydomain.edu > .forward [press enter]

5. To stop the forwarding process, remove the .forward file.

Example:

rm .forward <enter>

6. To sign off the UNIX account, type exit and press enter.
