Texas A&M University-Commerce Campus
and Surrounding Area


Following are approximately 80 photographs of 50 perennial (primarily woody) plant species found on or nearby the Texas A&M University-Commerce Campus. These photos (primarily trees and shrubs) have been collected as part of a course in Landscape Plant Identification taught in the Department of Agricultural Sciences .

              Plants are arranged alphabetically by common name (ex. Oak, White). The common name is followed by the genus and species in parentheses. Click on the common name to view a photograph of the plant.

 If a viewer identifies a potential error in the identification of a plant, or is aware of an omitted species that exists on campus, please notify Crystal Moody
