The A&M-Commerce Farm Boy Alumni Association
was chartered in 1990 for alumni who, as students, worked on the University
Farm while attending college. Students began working on the University
Farm in the late 1940's. Many of those early students also lived
on the farm in addition to receiving tuition deferments and cafeteria meal
tickets in compensation for their work.
