Individuals
It is sometimes unbelievable how the compassion and generosity of a single person can literally affect hundreds, if not thousands of individuals. And yet it happens daily at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Endowed scholarships help students pay for tuition that they may not have been able to afford on their own, volunteers mentor students and give them the encouragement they need, and faculty make groundbreaking research discoveries with the help of endowed professorships. We appreciate the individuals who so humbly and graciously make contributions that transform the lives of students. These gifts come in many forms and support learning in a variety of ways. Find out how you can help.

Corporations & Foundations
The Office for Advancement develops and strengthens partnerships with corporations and private foundations. We assist them in fulfilling their own missions while advancing the educational, social, research and outreach objectives of the university.

For university faculty and staff, we can help develop program concepts, identify potential partners, provide proposal writing and related research, and develop strategies for building relationships and working with corporations and foundations. Contact Tonya Kramer, Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving, at 903-468-8197 for more information.

Employees (Bridge Builders)
Bridge Builders are current and retired faculty and staff who have made financial and in-kind gifts to the university. The term Bridge Builder was taken from a favorite poem of Professor Mayo’s and embodies what generous faculty and staff do for our students when they make a contribution: they help build bridges between students and education. One of the ways employees give is through payroll deduction to the Annual Fund in an area of their choice. Contact Alicia Wittkopf, Coordinator of Annual Giving, 903-468-8181.

Texas A&M University-Commerce began as East Texas Normal College in 1889 when founder William Leonidas Mayo opened the doors to a one-building campus in Cooper. His creed, which continues today, was "ceaseless industry, fearless investigation, unfettered thought, and unselfish service to others." The institution's history of dynamic change began in 1894 when "Mayo's College" moved to Commerce.
